The Shish Mahal, which is fully air conditioned, is one of the most respected and long established Indian Restaurants in Javea. It has a classical Indian atmosphere and been pleasing and providing a professional, friendly service together with it’s excellent Indo-Pakistan style of cooking since 1990. Situated just off the Cabo la Nao opposite Mailboxes in Javea Park, is on two floors - one smoking, one non smoking - open from 12.30 midday providing a special lunch time menu from just 9€ for a starter, main course and desert and in the evenings from 6.30pm till late. On the night we went, we chose the special chicken Shashlick; a sizzling chicken dish with mango, peppers, onion and spices and a lamb Jelfrozi which is marinated lamb Tikka with yogurt, chilli's and onion. We chose lemon flavoured rice and a Keema Nan to accompany the main course and a wonderful chilled Rioja which made this a really great meal.
