The present limited company was created in 1988 to conform with current legislation, but the Knight family has been involved in insurance - mainly for expatriates living in Spain - since 1966 when John Knight became a member of the College of Insurance Agents in Malaga.

The geographical expansion took place in the nineties when John's son Roy and later his daughter Susan joined the business. Branches opened on the Costa Blanca from Ciudad Quesada to Campello and Torrevieja. The acquisition of CSS and Sullivan Brown´s portfolios in 1997 and 2000 added new branches to the company in Denia, Calpe, Alfaz del Pi and Javea.

A great deal has been accomplished during the last decades and the Knight Insurance portfolio counts today over fifty thousand clients.
